Friday, August 3, 2018 - AK Showroom, Tamuning, GuamGNOC hosted the Team Guam Congratulatory Cocktail Reception on Friday, August 3, 2018 to thank our Athletes, Officials and National Federations for their continued commitment and congratulate them for their outstanding performance during the 9th Micronesian Games held in Yap from July 15-26, 2018.The evening opened with introductions by emcees Shintaro Okada and Edgar Molinos followed by the welcome remarks from AK President Alex Hammett and the congratulatory message by GNOC President Ricardo Blas. Both Presidents recognized the hard work and achievement of Team Guam's athletes and congratulated them for their accomplishments. They also reminded them to continue to the passion and work harder through the struggle in their quest for the Pacific Games in 2019 and all other events leading to Tokyo 2020. Amongst those recognized for their contribution to the successful tenure in Yap were all athletes, officials, GNOC Executive Director Anita Blas, Executive Assistant Mary Perez, Admin personnel Luisa Sampson, ONOC Executive Assistant Michael Kohn and Team Guam Chef de Mission Joey Miranda III.Athletes and officials from all seven participating sports enjoyed the delicacies and beverages donated by KFC, Guam Fishermen's Co-Op, Marianas Underwater Fishing Federation, D&Q, Ruby Tuesday, Coca Cola and Mid-Pacific Distributors Guam.
