Preparations underway for Team Guam's participation in the Pacific Mini Games Palau 2025

Members of Team Guam participated in the Guam NOC and NADO Clean Sport program presented by the GNOC Medical and Anti-Doping Commission on Thursday, March 26, 2025, at the GNOC 3rd floor Conference Room.

The participants included athletes from the sport of Judo, Softball, Triathlon, and Va'a in preparation for the Pacific Mini Games in Palau scheduled for June 28 to July 9, 2025.

The program facilitators include ONOC Medical Commission member and GMADC Chairperson Dr. Luis Cruz, GMADC ORADO Representative Lenora Matanane, and ORADO DCO Joey Miranda III. The program included a session on the Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRV's) through a Kahoot interactive session. A group session ensued on a roleplay of an ADRV. The course also covered the consequences of Doping, the Prohibited List 2025, and Therapeutic Use Exemptions. The participants then engaged in a mobile app activity on the global DRO identifying different substances and their prohibition during in competition and out of competition times. The evening ended with the Whereabouts and 11 stages of the testing process identifying key areas in ensuring each athlete is aware of the rights and responsibilities.
