Saturday, June 23, 2018 - Chamorro Village, Hagatna, GuamOlympic Day is a world-wide event hosted by the International Olympic Committee to encourage everyone to move, learn and discover, the three pillars of the Olympic Day movement. The Guam National Olympic Committee celebrated the event on Saturday, June 23, 2018. The activities began with the Olympic Day pillar “Move”. The fun run/walk, a 5k/2k course organized by the Guam National Athletes Commission and Guam Track and Field Association, kicked off with a warm up at 5:45 a.m. by Urban Fitness, followed by a start time of 6:00 a.m. at the Chamorro Village. AK Toyota provide a CH-R pace car that guided the runners through the first half of the 5k course up to the turn point at Adelup. The event was participated by 141 male and 131 female runners. The 2k commenced shortly after the 5k with 50 participants twelve years of age and below. Guam’s Olympians were on hand to greet and meet all participants.The event was brought to us in part by the IOC OS, AK Toyota, Run Guam, Community First Credit Union, New-Gen Physical Therapy and Coca Cola.Results of the Olympic Day 5k/2k Run/WalkClick here: Olympic Day Run Results 5k 2k
