Saturday, April 27, 2024 – MAITE, GUAM

The concluding day of the Oceania Sport Education Program’s Management In Sporting Organizations provided an avenue for the first batch of National Federations to present their Strategic Plan to the members of the Guam National Olympic Committee Board of Directors.

The panel included GNOC Secretary-General Robert Steffy, Board members James Borja, Joey Miranda III, Sandra Miller, and Melanie Torrealong with Executive Director Anita Blas, Administrative Assistant MariaHarris, and OSEP RME Tara Tydingco.  

Guahan Napu, Inc., Guam Gymnastics Federation, Guam DragonBoat Federation, Guam Kayak and Canoe Federation, and Guam Swimming Federation provided the panel with updates on their current structure, Safeguarding, Schedule of Events 2024-2028, SWOT Analysis, Budget, Athletes Commission, Team Selection process, Strategic Plan for the upcoming quadrennial.

After each presentation, the panel provided feedback to each organization to assist in enhancing their organization’s preparedness for the 2025-2028 quadrennial.

Several organizations expressed their appreciation for the knowledge-sharing session and the guidance provided during the three-day session provided by OSEP RME’s Joey Miranda III, Melanie Torre, and TaraTydingco.

The next batch of National Federations will be hosted on Monday, May 7, 2024, on the 3^rd floor of the Guam National Olympic Committee conference room.
