Guam's Joshter Andrew winning Gold in the Oceania Judo Championships Junior Division -81kg[/caption]Sunday, April 8, 2018 - Noumea, New CaledoniaThe 2018 Oceania Judo Championships were held in Noumea, New Caledonia from 6 - 8 April, 2018, where the Marianas Judo Association entered Joshter Andrew into the -81kg category for both the Junior and Senior division. Joshter secured the Gold Medal after beating judokas from New Caledonia and New Zealand in the Junior Division, becoming the new Oceania Junior Champion for -81kg. In the Senior Division, he finished 3rd after losing to New Zealand in the opening match but winning his way to bronze from the repechage matches, beating judokas from New Zealand and New Caledonia. He gained valuable experience as well as world ranking points and is back to training at Ryutsu Keizai University preparing for his next competition.
